Honda ECU with Fi code 25 or 26 (knock sensor)
Does the Fi light blink code 25 (left knock sensor) or 26 (right knock sensor)? Often the sensor itself is fine and the fault is in the knock sensor input circuit of the ECU. Revision 7 (REP7) is the fixed-price repair for exactly this fault.

For the Keihin PGM-FI ECUs of, among others:
- Honda GL1800 Goldwing / GL1800C Valkyrie (38770-MCA-, 38770-MEC-)
- Honda CBR1100XX Super Blackbird (38770-MAT-)
- Honda CB1100SF X-11 (38770-MCC-611)

Check the sensor and wiring first: measure the knock sensor and check the cable and connector. A loose or corroded connector is a known cause (see our knock sensor connector set). If the code comes back with a good sensor and good wiring, the cause is in the ECU.

Send the ignition key (HISS chip key) with the unit. Without the key we cannot test the ECU.

Revision price Injection/Ignition unit ECU/ECM/brain (sealed / potted)

so you can prevent that the unit goes defect again.

(We also offer a fast service, with delivery by 10:00, ready after 16:00 Mon-Fri)

Test procedure:

All of our tests are performed with a simulation-based protocol; we send the exact same signals to your ECU as those normally provided by your motorcycle. This way we can approach reality to nearly 100%. Testing in this dynamic fashion ensures a much more reliable result compared to static measurements such as measuring resistance values provided by your workshop manual.

What is tested?:
- Variable load on outputs
- Advance ignition curve relative to the rpm
- Power of the spark at variable load
- Charging of the ignitioncoil in TCI systems and peak voltage at CDI Systems
- Injector control and other actuators
- All sensor inputs
- Operation at different voltages (8V - 15.5 V)
- Temperature dependence
- Idle up to the rpm limiter
- Endurance test, at least 25 minutes (longer on request)
- Vibration
- Water resistance
- Electromagnetic compatibility tests
- If present, tachometer output, Electronic fuel pump output, TPS and vacuum input, standard / neutral safety

If possible, the circuit board will be provided with two layers of professional moisture protective coating after testing.
